ABOUT AKEHIKO

It seems rather ostentatious to list awards, but I can attribute most of them to the results of the dedication and hard work of my mathletes. It seems like we coined or popularized the word “mathlete” long before it became fashionable among math competitors. (See mathlete.net) I am trying to honor my former students for their accomplishments and their willingness to share their passion for mathematics.

Meanwhile I still enjoy studying the works of Euler, M. Gardner, C. Dodgson, H. Dudeney, Ian Stewart, J. Conway, C. Pickover, etc. I am not there yet and it may take many years, but I am working toward becoming a decent Metagrobologist.
